    Customer-facing from the start: early years working abroad in Ibiza and Austria, his own children’s party business, then hospitality and catering. When his dream role as weddings manager came up at the shed, he could not turn it down. Lee looks after every couple personally, and is the name in almost every review we get.

    Operations Manager

    Clare joined The Engine Shed in 2012 from a corporate event management and marketing background. She looks after all the parties and special events, and keeps the venue running smoothly day to day. Off duty you will find her travelling, reading, or trying a new flavoured gin and tonic.

    Jen joined The Engine Shed, Wetherby team in 2021 as a Duty Manager, running weddings and looking after all our wonderful couples. After five happy years as part of the wedding team, Jen has transitioned to the Catering Team to advance her passion for food and help our Head Chef to keep delivering exemplary menus event after event.

    Dave joined in 2021 after head chef roles in hotels and universities, with years of fine dining, corporate and wedding catering behind him. His knowledge of different cuisines and his flexibility have elevated our menus, and he has twice been a finalist in The North of England Wedding Awards.

    Bar Manager

    Over 13 years in hospitality, and happiest running the bar at our biggest, busiest events. Emma worked on a farm from the age of 13, which we reckon is why she is so good at herding a full house of guests and keeping them all watered.

    Bar Supervisor

    Known to everyone as Supergran, Jan has been here the longest: more than 30 years. She started on the bar, worked her way up to Senior Bar Supervisor, and is the reason the venue is always spotless.

    Our gorgeous King Charles Spaniel has been showering guests (and staff) with love since 2015. The friendliest head of security in Wetherby.

Lee was fantastic, so much so, so many guests even said so too!
