The Grade II listed Engine Shed and its grounds in Wetherby

About us

Not your traditional wedding venue

The Engine Shed is a Grade II listed former railway goods shed in the heart of Wetherby, lovingly run by an independent family team who care about every celebration.

The building

A shed with a past, and a lot of character

The Engine Shed is a Grade II listed building, built in 1847 as a goods shed on the Harrogate to Church Fenton railway line. The brick arches and exposed beams are still here, and the old railway names still mark the walls, the Mallard among them. By day it is quirky and full of character; when it fills up on the night, there is nowhere quite like it.
