Food, drink and your day
Your day
Do you have in-house catering?
Yes. Everything is prepared in our kitchen by our team, with menus including handcrafted canapés, carveries, street food and globally inspired sharing dishes. Dietary requirements are catered for without fuss.
Can we change the food and drink packages?
Yes. We pride ourselves on being flexible, so you can amend the food and drink packages to suit your day and your budget.
Do you allow civil weddings?
Yes. We have two licensed ceremony spaces, with the Mezzanine for smaller ceremonies and the Main Room for larger celebrations. Both are indoors, so your plans don’t depend on the weather.
How late can the party go?
We hold a late licence until 1am. Live music plays until 11pm, then a DJ takes over until 1am on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Is the venue exclusively ours?
Yes. Every wedding includes exclusive use of The Engine Shed, so you’ll have the whole venue to yourselves for the day.
Are you dog friendly?
Yes, we are a dog-friendly venue. Plenty of our couples have had their four-legged friends join them on the day, including as bridesmaids.
Can we bring our own drinks?
We do not offer corkage. Drinks come from our own bar, with tailored drinks packages, wine upgrades and bespoke options to suit your day.
Are children catered for?
Yes, there is a proper children’s menu. Under 3s eat free, ages 3 to 11 choose the children’s menu or the adult menu at half price, and ages 12 and up are full price.

What is the maximum number for the wedding breakfast?
Up to 180 guests formally seated for dining.
What is the maximum number allowed in the venue?
Up to 450 guests for the evening reception.
Do you have a car park?
Yes, 70 free parking spaces on site for you and your guests, on our private drive right by the door.
Do you have outdoor space?
Yes, there is an outdoor area with tables and chairs, great for a drink after the ceremony or some fresh air between the speeches and the dancing.
Do you have a list of local accommodation?
Yes. We keep a full list of local hotels, Airbnb options and B&Bs, and we also offer discounted rates at the Days Inn Wetherby.
